Relationship Between NLP and Psychology
NLP (Neuro Linguistics Programming) and psychology are closely related. The origins of Neuro Linguistics Programming include: behavioral psychology, cognitive psychology, gestalt therapy, family therapy, hypnosis, hypnotherapy…etc .
Some of the main areas of NLP are therefore: to understand and influence human behavior through beliefs; to make use of the special patterns of language to change our beliefs, mindsets and behaviors; to create and apply successful behaviors and strategies in handling different situations; to achieve the excellence of our behaviors through exercising our brain and neuro-system effectively and efficiently; to change people’s mindset through cognition (which is the scientific term for "the process of thought") and to promote the effectiveness of mental, psychological and physical health.
Hence, NLP is a modern psychological study of rapid human behavioral change!
