Daphne Wu - Registered Dietitian
Daphne obtained her first degree in Food and Nutritional Science in the University of Hong Kong. She understood that she would only become a registered dietitian until a completion of hospital internship programme, she went back to school for further studies after gaining certain working experiences. She was then working as a dietitian in different clinical settings and as a tutor or visiting lecturer in various institutions. In addition, she maintains her professional status and knowledge via continuing education during her spare time. She is the first and only dietitian in Hong Kong received the Graduate Diploma in Sports Nutrition offered by the International Olympic Committee Medical Commission.
Daphne has a mission to let more and more people to get the right concept on nutrition. She is eager to interpret the scientific information into practical messages to the public via different mass media including books, newspaper, magazines, TV and radio programmes. In addition, she is also involved actively in the community such as being a co-researcher and a co-translator of scientific papers, being invited to promote healthy campus to the university students and writing with other health professionals to share the nutrition related information to the general public. Daphne is currently studying her doctoral degree in the United Kingdom. She had been served in a managerial position as a dietitian in-charge in a private hospital before her study.
